What size of farm is the smart agriculture system suitable for?

From small greenhouses to large farms. Our system uses modular design, allowing flexible configuration of sensor and controller quantities based on farm scale.

Do I need a technical background to operate the system after installation?

No. Our interface is designed with farmers in mind — a mobile app lets you view all data and control irrigation. We provide complete training after installation to ensure independent operation.

How durable are IoT sensors in agricultural environments (high heat, high humidity)?

The agricultural sensors used by ShiHe all feature industrial-grade IP67 waterproof and dustproof ratings and have passed salt spray corrosion tests. For outdoor farming environments, we provide solar-powered versions that require no extra wiring. The devices built-in low-power LoRa wireless communication technology with a coverage range of up to 2-5 kilometers. Under standard maintenance, the lifespan of core sensors can exceed 5 years, significantly reducing replacement costs.

Can an AI irrigation system really save labor?

Absolutely. Taking our greenhouse record in Yunlin as an example, by analyzing "Soil Water Potential" and "Evapotranspiration" through AI, the system can automatically determine the most precise watering times and fertilizer concentrations (fertigation management). This not only saves over 60% of human inspection and watering time but also addresses the issue of an aging rural workforce, allowing young farmers to manage hectares of farmland remotely via smartphone.

What protective measures does the smart agriculture system have for typhoons or power outages?

The ShiHe system features "Active Anomaly Notification." When a power outage or communication failure is detected, it immediately notifies the farm owner via LINE or voice call. Our controllers are equipped with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) backup batteries, allowing them to execute a final safety command (such as automatically closing shutters to prevent strong winds from entering the greenhouse) during the initial stage of a blackout. Furthermore, the cloud records pre-disaster data to assist in subsequent agricultural insurance claims.

Can this system be customized according to the different crops I grow?

Yes, ShiHe has a built-in "Crop Growth Knowledge Base." Whether it's high-value orchids and strawberries or field crops like rice, the system can adjust environmental parameters based on different growth stages (seedling, growth, flowering). We provide an open parameter setting interface, allowing farmers to fine-tune logic based on their rich experience, digitizing "farmer expertise" into "AI production recipes."

Is it cost-effective for small-scale farms to implement smart technology? Are there government subsidies?

For small fields under 0.5 hectares, we offer a "Simplified Entry Plan" focusing on core environmental monitoring with very low initial investment. ShiHe also provides professional "Project Application Services" to help farmers apply for the Agriculture and Food Agency's "Smart Agricultural Machinery Subsidy" or local "SBIR" programs, which can grant up to 50% in equipment subsidies, significantly lowering the entry barrier.

My farm is in a remote area with poor cell signal; can I still use the smart system?

This is exactly why we use LoRa long-range communication technology. We build a micro base station at a high point on the farm, which doesn't require a telecom provider's 5G signal to connect all sensors within a 3km radius. After data collection, it is sent back to the cloud via satellite communication or enhanced directional antennas. ShiHe has successfully implemented smart monitoring in multiple remote and high-altitude mountain areas.
